Buffalo (WKBW.com) It didn't take long for Brian Moorman to find a new home. Moorman's agent confirmed with Eyewitness Sports that the former Bills punter has signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

It's a one year deal for Moorman in "Big D".

Moorman was released in a surprise move by the Bills on Tuesday. He had been a staple in the locker room and in the community for 12 seasons.

Reached by phone on Tuesday night Moorman told Eyewitness Sports Director Jeff Russo that it has been a busy and emotional 24 hours since his release on Tuesday.

"I think anytime something like this happens it's a surprise", said Moorman. "It's in the past now. They have moved forward. I've moved forward. I have no ill will towards anyone in the organization, and I told them that when I left. I am thankful for the opportunity that I had with the Buffalo Bills. I appreciate everything that Mr. Wilson has done for me, but I am looking forward to what the future holds", said Moorman.

"I loved my time in Buffalo. Every minute of it. Every fan I met. They all have a special place in my heart. I will always be a member of the Buffalo Bills in my heart", said Moorman.

Moorman says that he will be in the lineup for the Cowboys this weekend. Taking the place for the injured Chris Jones that recently suffered a sprained knee.
