WILLIAMSVILLE, NY (WKBW) - Brad Angelo defeated John Szczerbinski twice on Sunday to win the 2012 George A. Obenauer Masters Bowling Tournament.
In the first Championship match of the double elimination tournament the 42-year-old Angelo defeated his 24-year-old opponent 723-682. That result forced a second, and final, Championship match.
Angelo once again came through when it counted most. He clinched the title winning 690-594.
It is Angelo's fourth Obenauer crown and first since 2003.
Angelo, a Lockport native and PBA Tour Pro, was beaten by Szczerbinski earlier in the day. Szczerbinski was unbeaten heading into the Championship match.
