BUFFALO, NY ( release ) The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority retained an environmental consultant to perform air and soil testing at the Kensington Heights project area.
That testing was completed this week.
The consultant has advised the BMHA that the testing data indicates that, as to air quality, fiber levels are all well below the state and federal action levels. Air testing was performed inside and at the perimeter of the project site and at close locations of public use including the athletic field, school, and hospital.
The testing confirms that the air is safe and clear at Kensington Heights. Soil testing was also performed and the report states that no asbestos was detected in the soil and no asbestos was observed by the inspector at the areas of public use around the Kensington Heights project.
