National Fuel Gas Co. will move its downtown Buffalo customer assistance center from one side of Lafayette Square to another.
This fall, it will shift the operation from the Tishman Building to the Brisbane Building.
"It was important to us that we kept a downtown location," said Nancy Taylor, spokesperson.
National Fuel's longtime lease in the Tishman Building expires Oct. 31. After considering a number of options, the company decided to move the office across Lafayette Square in mid-October, Taylor said.
"The size (approximately 9,000 square feet) may be a little smaller than what we have now, but we are keeping the same number of employees, hours and services," she said.
The Brisbane Building, which dates to 1895, has some high-profile tenants including the CPA firm of Lumsden & McCormick.
