Local Band Returns From Playing In London

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY ( WKBW ) The local band "More Than Me" is back in Western New York after playing in London, England.

Members of "More Than Me" arrived at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Monday night after their whirlwind show across the Atlantic.

The band beat out over 150 others in a nationwide online voting contest promoted by the Hard Rock Cafe. Their prize earned them the right to perform on the same stage, opening for legendary musicians like Sir Paul McCartney at Hyde Park in London June 26th.

Band member Ryan Doyle told Eyewitness News that the experience was simply "unbelievable!" Doyle telling Channel 7 that the band members got to hang out with the likes of Elvis Costello, the Rolling Stones, Melissa Etheridge, and Crosby Stills and Nash.

A DVD of the concert is expected to be released shortly. Members of "More Than Me" - the Doyle Brothers - recently performed at several shows staged at area Anderson's restaurants to benefit the Variety Kids Telethon.
