BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- 32-year-old Tomell Hasidi will spend the next twenty-five years in prison without the possibility of parole.
Hasidi stabbed and dismembered the body of his ex-fiance Lakiesta Brown, then dumped her remains in to the Black Rock Canal last December.
Hasidi showed no emotion at sentencing Tuesday while saying nothing to the victims family who were in attendance.
Judge Sheila Ditullio called Hasidi a cold-blooded murderer and a danger to society.
Tuesday's sentencing was the result of a plea deal struck with Hasidi that the victim's family accepted to avoid a lengthy trial. The twenty-five year sentence is the maximum allowed under state law.
