LANCASTER, NY ( WKBW ) In an undercover operation that happened on Tuesday evening, Lancaster Police arrested three men for inappropriate sexual activity in Como Lake Park. The sting came about after residents had complained that men were harassing people and offering them sex.

Police used undercover detectives in the park. When they were approached by other men who exposed themselves and offered them sexual favors, they were arrested. Police charged two men and one teenager with forcible touching and public lewdness. Police say that they have had problems in the past with men having sex in rest rooms or wooded areas of the park.

"We get complaints from the public because they can see it, and it's against the law to do that. When people complained that they were actually being approached, we put a detail together and went in there to see how serious the problem was," Lancaster Police Detective Captain Timothy Murphy told Eyewitness News.

All three men who were arrested must now appear in court. They face anywhere from fines to jail time.

Police say that these stings will continue as long as this type of inappropriate activity keeps happening in the park.
