BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) The 35th annual Juneteenth Festival continues Sunday at MLK Park in Buffalo.
Thousands flocked to the park Saturday to enjoy the food, tents, and celebration of African American Heritage...with thousands more expected Sunday.
The kickoff parade stepped off from Genesee and Moselle Sts. on Saturday, making it's way for 1.6 miles up Genesee and into MLK Park. Thousands lined the parade route and enjoyed seeing local dignitaries, marching bands, and many young people who sang, danced, and entertained along the way,
The Eyewitness News LIVE EYE truck was also in the parade, as Channel 7 is a proud supporter of Juneteenth and the Sankofa Days of education leading up to the weekend festivities.
