Two Overnight Shootings

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Buffalo Police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that took place overnight.

The first incident happened around 1:15 a.m. at Suffolk Street and LaSalle Avenue. Police say the victim, 29-year-old Mister Sommerville of North Tonawanda, was shot during an apparent drive-by. Sommerville is recovering at ECMC after undergoing surgery.

The second shooting incident happened around 1:20 a.m. at Walden Avenue and Poplar Avenue Wednesday morning. This shooting also appears to be a drive-by. The victim, 27-year-old Andre Stinson of Buffalo is in serious condition at ECMC.

Police say that two shooting do not appear to be related, and are asking anyone with information to call the Confidential Tip Line at 847-2255 or 'Text a Tip' to 847-2255.
