BUFFALO, NY ( release ) Music is Art brings its signature event once again to the grounds of the Albright Knox Art Gallery for a one-day, all-day festival on Saturday, September 11, 2010. T
The festival, now in its 8th year, will once again feature over 40 bands, 50 displaying artists and photographers, plus live art, dancers, and DJs. The festival will also include the popular Kids Village, not for profit organizations, beer and wine tent, food vendors and much, much more! This year’s theme is “Magic Mayhem”.
Every year the festival gets bigger and better and thousands are
entertained by this multi-sensory event; part concert, part bazaar, street fair and art gallery. And to top it all off, it’s absolutely free.
“This year’s festival is going to be a ‘magical’ experience, and I mean that literally, as we continue to present some of WNY’s finest talent and celebrate MiA’s eight years of involvement in the local creative community,” said Goo Goo Dolls Bassist and Music is Art Founder Robby Takac.
The Music is Art Festival Committee will be taking online submissions from bands, artists and dance troops within the coming days. Check out the website at www.musicisart.org for links and more information.
Limited sponsorship opportunities are also available by contacting MiA Executive Director Tod Kniazuk at 716-912-8236 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Music is Art was founded in 2003 by Takac with a mission to help explore and reshape music’s cultural, social and educational impact on our community. The not for profit organization does this through a set of seven programs that includes the festival, student battle of the bands, instrument drive, HEART, Music in Action, MiA Live, and The Big Easy in Buffalo.
