Second Suspect Charged in 2002 Murder

CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (WKBW) -- Police in Cheekowaga have arrested a second suspect in the 2002 murder of Samuel Ciapa.

32-year-old Alan Tomaski of Orchard Park was arraigned in County Court early Friday morning on Second Degree Murder charges.

Police allege that Tomaski stabbed and/or strangled Ciapa on August 16, 2002. Ciapa's body was found in the Sloan Reservoir on August 18, 2002.

If convicted, Tomaski faces 25 years to life in prison.
