BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte are at it again; stealing the scene since the HBO series first aired in 1998.
"I think it incorporates a lot of things. It incorporates obviously fashion and the city and then it incorporates a group of really good friends that have been friends for years," said Lacy Hudd who attended the event.
More than 100 women bought tickets to see Sex and the City 2 and attend the pre-movie party at Bijou Grille in downtown Buffalo. The event was complete with the show's signature drink, the Cosmo.
"I am a Sex and the City fan and it's just a great excuse to have a party," said event organizer Kristin Scholz.
The show has spawned a cult following. Single ladies navigating their way through New York City, bonded in friendship that so many women can relate to.
"I think just the relationship between all the women...they're all different but they're all great friends and they're there for each other. We kind of have that same group. We're all different but we're all there for each other," said Joan Frapwall who attended the event.
The premise of the show is simple - what women want are good friends, a good man, designer clothes and stiletto heels.
"I like to see Carrie and her outfits and her shoes and her clothes...she's probably the most fun," said Heather Ratka who attended the event.
The show and now the movies have catapulted designers like Manolo Blahnik into household names. And vendors at today's event were hoping to profit off of that success.
"They hand picked the pieces that they're show casing tonight to replicate that which is worn in the movie," said Scholz.
