BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- A couple of local men are on a mission to run the entire length of the Erie Canal, from Albany to Buffalo, to raise money for Roswell Park.
Sam Pasceri and Roger Niethe will be joined by a third member of the team, Charlie Engle, as they tackle the 363 mile long course. They plan on running 50 miles a day over the course of a week, while sleeping in an RV that will travel the course with them.
They also plan to raise $363,000, or $1000 per mile for Buffalo's Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
The team is looking for volunteers to help them along the journey, drive the RV and tend to their medical needs. More information on the mission can be found here.
