BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Fire officials responded to a call of a garage fire just after 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. When crews arrived, they found much more.

The fire had started in a garage and spread to two vacant homes and an occupied home on Plymouth Street. The homeowner, Bob Ralph, was sound asleep as the flames flickered outside his bedroom window.

Two teenagers, Jose Flores and Jose Rodriguez, were walking through the neighborhood at the time of the fire, and helped to wake Ralph by pounding on his door.

Fire officials are calling the blaze suspicious, and it remains under investigation.
