Family members of victims in the crash of flight 3407 are heading to Washington D.C. for several meetings this week but one in particular is very important.
They are trying to convince U.S. Representative James Oberstar, (D) Minnesota, to throw out a provision which could kill a bill to increase pilot training.
The issue is over a battle between FedEx and UPS. The provision would make it easier for FedEx employees to unionize.
It's thrown into the Federal Aviation Administration's reauthorization bill-- which family members have been fighting for.
If included in the bill, it will have trouble passing in the senate- so family members are hopeful they can persuade Oberstar to throw it out.
They meet with the Congressman on Wednesday.
