Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Two men are in custody and a third suspect is still on the run following a strong armed robbery at a Buffalo fast food restaurant on Monday.
Three masked men stormed into the KFC at 450 E. Delavan Ave. just after 3 p.m., according to Buffalo police spokesman Michael DeGeorge.
The men beat a customer, who was rushed to a nearby hospital, and demanded cash from store employees.
One of the employees told Eyewitness News that she was scared and ran into a backroom when she spotted the masked men run inside the restaurant.
"I went in the back and told someone," said the female employee, wearing a KFC hat and uniform, who refused to give her name.
"I heard all of the noise, them saying 'Give us the money! Give us the money!'" she said.
"I dropped like hell," said a male worker who also refused to give his name.
When asked if he was scared, he responded: "Hell, yeah! A gun showing in your face, you'd be scared too."
The three armed men ran off, but two of them were arrested a short time later by Buffalo police.
Erie County Sheriff's Air One helicopter aided officers on the ground.
A weapon and some cash was also recovered from the backyards of homes on Chelsea Place and Dutton Avenue.
Officials are looking into the possibility that the same men were responsible for a bank robbery in West Seneca last week.
Three men robbed the M&T Bank branch on Slade Ave. last Wednesday and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
