WEST SENECA, NY (WKBW) -- Edward Siwy was taken into custody Monday after escaping from West Seneca Police. Siwy was arrested late Monday afternoon in South Buffalo after an intense search.
Erie County Sheriff's Air One helicopter along with multiple K-9 units actively searched a wooded area in Hamburg Monday for Siwy after he escaped police custody.
Edward Siwy, 35, slipped out of West Seneca Town Court Friday night where he was being arraigned on shoplifting and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
Police did not believe Siwy was armed or dangerous.
