BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Hundreds packed the lobby of Buffalo City Hall Sunday to remember the Polish citizens murdered by the Soviets around this time in 1940.

A plaque representing those killed in the Katyn Massacre has hung in the lobby of City Hall for the past 30 years. This year, mourners lined up to sign the official book of condolences for those killed in last month's plane crash.

The re-dedication of the commemorative plaque has now taken on new meaning for those in the Polish community.
