BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Area theater-goers have been waiting for months for the hit musical 'Jersey Boys' to arrive at Shea's. The wait was over Wednesday night.

The smash hit musical that tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is also playing in New York City, Toronto and Las Vegas, and the spin off economic impact of such a big production is significant.

Hotels and restaurants see an increase in business as cast and crew need places to stay and food to eat, while theater-goers from all over the area bring their business to downtown Buffalo.

Officials expect all the activity to add up to tens of millions of dollars for the local economy as a result of the show.
