It's lights, camera, action in Buffalo today! Filming is now underway for the film called "Queen City". The film is set in Buffalo in the late 1970's and stars Vivica A. Fox as a jazz and blues singer. Filming began today at 612 Fillmore Avenue and local movie extras got there bright and early to make sure they secured a spot in the film. Many were thrilled at the thought of working with Fox.

"That's the best part of all, to see Vivica Fox," said Movie Extra Lisa Pratt. "I've watched her from the beginning until now, so I'm a big fan."

"I can't wait," added Lisa Wells, another movie extra. "I even have extra batteries for my camera. I can't wait, to meet Vivica, I'm excited."

The movie focuses on the lives of two Buffalo detectives and highlights Buffalo's musical history, specifically the Jazz community. In upcoming days crews will shoot at other landmarks including the Colored Musicians Club located on Broadway Street near Michigan Avenue.
