BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Here are some of the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

Crews were called to a fire on Zenner Street just before 4 a.m. Tuesday morning where a woman was trapped on the roof of her front porch. Fire crews were able to rescue the woman and a number of cats from the home, though one firefighter did suffer minor injuries battling the blaze.

The Sabres dropped game 3 to the Bruins 2-1 and now trail in the best of seven series by the same 2-1 margin. Game 4 will be played in Boston on Wednesday night.

The state budget is now 20 days late, which led lawmakers to pass another emergency spending plan. The bill allows the government to continue operating through April 25th while budget talks continue. Leaders in both houses reportedly agree on $6 billion in cuts and new revenue, though details are still being hammered out.
