BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Two small children were found in a home along with drugs and guns during a police raid in Buffalo on Tuesday.

One kilogram of cocaine and several pounds of marijuana were recovered, along with weapons and cash, from the home at 11 Boehm Place, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Squad.

A search warrant was executed at approximately 2 p.m., said Capt. Greg Savage.

"These drugs were slated to be distributed into the northern part of Erie County and as far north as Lockport," Savage said.

Dominic L. Coward, 30, was charged with first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, intent to sell, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Coward is being held in the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment on Wednesday.

The children are staying with relatives and child protective services has been notified, officials said.
