BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- A spokesman for Carl Paladino has confirmed with Eyewitness News that threat to harm Gubernatorial Candidate Carl Paladino was called in to his office around lunch time Tuesday.

Officials evacuated the Ellicott Square Building for about 45 minutes as police and bomb sniffing dogs searched the building.

Buffalo Police are investigating the threat and working to trace the source of the call.

The threat comes after Paladino apologized for forwarding sensitive and controversial e-mails, some of which contained racial jokes and pornography.

Workers have returned to the Ellicott Square Building at this time, and the investigation is on-going.
