He gave his life serving his country and now the public is being asked to honor a Marine from Western New York who was killed in Afghanistan.
The body of Sgt. Frank World returned to the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station on Friday after the Riverside neighborhood native was killed by an improvised explosive device last week. His funeral is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Amigone funeral home on Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda. His body will then be escorted to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo for a burial with full military honors.
The public is encouraged to line the route from Sheridan to Forest Lawn and to display American flags in tribute to Sgt. Frank World.
