BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- NYSEG and National Grid are reporting multiple power outages throughout the Western New York area after a line of thunderstorms moved through the region early Thursday morning.
More than 1,300 National Grid customers in Hamburg and surrounding areas and a few hundred in Buffalo are without power currently, though crews hope to have power restored to most areas by mid morning.
NYSEG is also reporting some outages in Lancaster, Depew, Buffalo and other surrounding areas.
St. Francis High School has canceled classes Thursday due to the power outage.
Some traffic signals have been affected by the outage as well.
