Two Correction Officers Arrested in Drug Ring

ALBION, NY (WKBW) -- The Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force along with other law enforcement agencies arrested two New York State Correction officers for running an illegal drug ring.

The suspects worked out of Orleans Correctional Facility in Albion, NY.

As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of prescription controlled substances, approximately 1 pound of marijuana, cash, a 9mm handgun, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.

Police have arrested David G. Lundin, age 56 of Albion, and Lee D. Salmon, age 41, of Wolcottsville, NY.

Lundin has been charged as follows:

- 3 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 3rd degree
- 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 4th degree
- 1 count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, 5th degree
- 3 counts of criminal sale of marijuana, 3rd degree
- 5 counts of criminal sale of marijuana, 4th degree
- 1 count of criminal sale of marijuana, 5th degree
- 1 count of criminal nuisance, 1st degree

Lundin was arraigned in Albion, NY and has been committed to the Orleans County Jail on $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond. He is due back in court on April 6 at 6:00 p.m.

Salmon has been charged as follows:

- 3 counts of criminal sale of marijuana, 3rd degree
- 3 counts of criminal sale of marijuana, 4th degree
- 1 count of criminal sale of marijuana, 5th degree.

Salmon was also arraigned in Albion and has been committed to the Orleans County Jail on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond. He is due back in court on April 6 at 6:00 p.m.

Further arrests and charges are pending in the case.
