BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- Here are some of the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

A massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake rocks Southern California, making it one of the strongest to hit the region in decades. The quake shook tens of millions of people in two countries, and ABC has a full report.

Local developer Carl Paladino is expected to officially announce his run for New York Governor later today at a campaign kick off event at the Ellicott Square Building in Downtown Buffalo.

Easter has passed, but the celebration is not over, especially if your Polish. Today is Dyngus Day, and Buffalo is home to one of the largest celebrations around.
