News of Wednesday's guilty verdict is still fresh in the case of Wayne Gert, convicted of second degree murder for the death of his roommate, 37-year-old Henry Trisler. For Trisler's daughter, it means redemption.

Tesla Trisler can vividly remember the moment she heard word about the guilty verdict against the man who murdered her father. She says she froze and fell to the ground. It was a bittersweet feeling of justice.

Tesla was just getting to know her then-estranged father before the shooting, and says she could trust him with anything. Henry Trisler was a fun-loving jokester, and Tesla laments that her baby girl will never know her grandfather.

Wayne Gert faces up to 63 years in prison. Gert will be sentenced December 20th.
