BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW ) A special delivery was made in downtown Buffalo as tons of chicken wings arrived at Coca-Cola Field...the site of this weekend's National Buffalo Wing Festival!

Whether they will be deep fried, smothered in sauce, or dipped in bleu cheese, tens of thousands of wings will be enjoyed at the ballpark venue.

Entertainment is scheduled, including Channel 7's Mike Randall in the "Kids Zone" for a 1pm and 3pm show.

There will be a chicken wing eating contest, and activities for all ages.

Event organizer and founder Drew Cerza stopped by Channel 7's "AM/Buffalo" for a taste test. He noted, "we've got 50 tons of chicken wings...that's about 3/4 of a million wings. We've only ordered 40 tons int he past, but we anticipate a big year coming up. Last year we tracked people from 50 different states, and 43 different countries, so it's been marketed well in the Travel Channel shows, and the Food Network shows. We're getting alot of e-mails and alot of traffic on our website and Facebook, so we anticipate this being our biggest year ever!"
