The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training is a specialized training for law enforcement in dealing with individuals with mental illness.

The CIT training is coordinated by Crisis Services.
Some of the goals of the CIT Training model includes:
• Focus on diversion and linkage
• Reduce officer injury
• Reduction of use of force
• Reduce 9.41 transports
• Collaboration between Police and Crisis Services
• Create Personal Safety Plans
