Fifth Annual Recovery Day, presented by Cazenovia Recovery Systems, Inc.

This is a free family event in an alcohol- and drug-free environment and it is open to the public.  It combines education and recreation. Several area agencies will be present to provide information on available recovery services. Activities include a cookout lunch, music, children’s activities and an art show.

This event kicks off September as National Recovery Month throughout the United States.

When: Friday, August 26, 11 AM – 3 PM

Where: Main-Transit Fire Department Pavilion, 6777 Main St., Williamsville, NY 14221

Why: The general public is welcome at this free event to celebrate those who have reclaimed their lives from addiction, to encourage others to continue on the path to recovery, and to educate the community about available services for those with addiction or mental health challenges. Narcan/Naloxone training sessions will advise the public about medication that can be given to an individual who has overdosed.

Who: Cazenovia Recovery Systems, Inc., a not-for-profit founded in Buffalo 1980, provides community residential treatment and support services to individuals challenged by addiction and homelessness. In recent years, the organization has expanded from Erie County into Niagara County.
