What makes our race special: We welcome participants of all ages and abilities.
The Heritage Centers 5K embraces the uniqueness of every individual and celebrates the differences in our community. Our 5K truly suits many needs – it is timed for the avid runner, welcomes families with young children, and allows individuals with walkers and wheelchairs to participate in a community recreation opportunity.
When participating in our 5K, you will see so many diverse participants; this is something we are proud of and hope our community can take part in as we share the great work of Heritage Centers and spread the message of acceptance.

Times: Registration opens at 9:30am \ Race begins promptly at 11:00am

Cost: $30 per person; Kids under 7 participate for free! Meals are available for $5 and beer tent is available for $10 to people not running/walking in the event.

Parking: Free parking is available in the Adam’s Ramp parking garage at 343 Washington Street. Parking is also available on the streets surrounding our location.
Route: Certified 5K, 3.1 miles beginning at 101 Oak Street, through the Erie Basin Marina area, and back downtown to finish at the cross streets of Clinton and Oak. See map attached for details!
Is the race timed?: Yes, timing services are provided by Score This.
Post-Party: After the race, enjoy a post-race party featuring Mississippi Mudd’s catering and our popular beer tent featuring Flying Bison and Big Ditch beers and McKenzie’s Hard Cider. Food and beer tent are included in the registration fee.
Incentive Program: All participants will receive a 3-pack of Asics performance socks (men’s and women’s sizing available), we will be offering a special edition t-shirt to all participants who fundraise an additional $50!
Safety: Our participants will be accompanied by a Buffalo Police Traffic Division motorcade, as well as having a Rural Metro ambulance on standby.
