Kyla Igoe
Kyla joined the “Eyewitness News” team as a Backpack Journalist in December 2007.
She earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science from Buffalo State College.
While in college, Kyla spent a semester at Leeds University in England and worked for their radio station as an international political correspondent for the morning radio show. She also took part in Buffalo State’s student run television station, BSC-TV. Upon graduating, she received a special commendation from the Dean of Communications.
Before being hired, Kyla served as an intern here at Channel 7. She landed her first job at the Metro Community News writing feature stories for communities across Western New York.
In her spare time, Kyla takes advantage of the Buffalo winters by hitting the slopes as an avid skier. She also loves to travel. In addition to her time in England, Kyla has spent 6 months in Venice, Italy and traveled throughout Europe.
