Jim Herr is a Multi-Media Journalist for Eyewitness News.
The news to watch growing up in the Herr household was Eyewitness News. Jim said to himself, "One day I want to do that." Today, he's doing "that."
This is Jim's second go-around at WKBW-TV. He was a photojournalist for Eyewitness News from January, 2007 through August, 2009.
He spent just under a half decade at Buffalo's NBC affiliate before rejoining Eyewitness News as a Multimedia Journalist.
Jim has been honored by his peers with two Emmy nominations for his work in spot news and feature news; and has won an Outstanding Spot News Award and an Outstanding Hard News Award from the New York State Broadcasters Association.
He subscribes to the storytelling methods of the National Press Photographers Association and has won several N.P.P.A. quarterly clip contest awards. He has been a member of the organization since 2007.
Jim volunteers his musical talents with the Pine Hill Drum and Bugle Corps of Cheektowaga, NY. He currently serves as the organization’s President.
Jim lives in Cheektowaga with his wife, Eyewitness News Producer Jessica.
