Desiree Wiley is part of 7 Eyewitness News from 5-7am weekday morning. She’s your “7 First Alert Traffic Reporter" who’s also does entertainment reports, breaking news from the field and some anchoring.

Desiree Wiley grew up in Lockport New York and graduated from Lockport Senior High School in June 2009. She studied journalism at Buffalo State College and at just 20-years-old received her Bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in political science and economics. Desiree was an economics tutor and a contributing author in “The World of Economics.” For the past seven years she has been raising awareness for donation with Upstate New York Transplant Services.

Desiree is a strong advocate for continuing education and has shared her personal philosophy of “Education Changes Everything” throughout New York State. Desiree also has experience working in higher education as an Admissions Advisor.

Desiree has been dancing since the age of nine and has experience teaching and choreographing. She has spent years developing her presentation skills by competing in various scholarship competitions. Desiree has held three titles through the Miss America organization. She’s currently Miss Finger Lakes and in June was named first-runner up at Miss New York.
