Jon Summers has lived and worked in Western New York for thirty years. In that time he's worked for some prestigious radio stations such as WKBW, WBEN AM&FM, WJYE and WECK. For two years in the mid nineties, Jon recorded an afternoon drive program heard coast to coast in Canada on the Canadian Radio Network. He has been the "voice" of WKBW-TV Channel 7 for thirty years and since 1990 has been the announcer/reporter/co-host of Channel
7's popular morning magazine show AM Buffalo. He has recorded thousands of commercials in that time, both local/regional and national. Jon has been active in local theater, having appeared on stage in Buffalo's Theater District, the Kavinoky theater and the Lancaster Opera House to name a few. In the past five years he has written four screenplays, three of which have placed in qualifying rounds in various competitions. One of these scripts, a terrorist thriller, is currently in the hands of a studio director, and is slated for production in the near future. Jon resides in North Buffalo with his wife, Elaine, his son Matthew and several beloved animals.
