Shawn joined the “7 Sports” team as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter in December, 2007. He previously served as Sports Director at WHAG-TV in Hagerstown, MD.

His work has also been recognized among the best in the country. In 2007, he won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award under the category of 'Sports Reporting.'

Shawn is a 2003 graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Broadcast Journalism at Ohio University. In his time at OU, Shawn was a sports anchor and producer for WOUB in Athens, Ohio. He also worked as the television and radio play-by-play announcer for the OU hockey team. Shawn also interned in the sports department for WTTG, FOX-5 in Washington, DC.

As an avid hockey fan, Shawn has played the game for most of his life including a season with the team at Ohio University.

Shawn originally hails from the Washington, DC suburb of Bowie, MD and his love for sports makes him feel right at home in Western New York.
